Ah, first-hand experience of learning to photograph and how much pixel power film has.
I re-scanned some more black and white film and color negative film from my college days now that I have a little bit more hard drive space.
So I shot with Ilford F4 Plus black and white professional film and that digitized is roughly 6 to 8 megapixels per image.
Color neg was Kodak 160 NC and digitized is roughly 8 to 10 megapixels per image.
You’ll have to excuse me for my lack of color photos because I’ll have to admit I wasn’t really good at it. The black and white photo-taking was so much easier, just had to make sure there was a lot of light and it was almost guaranteed the images would turn out. Oh well, at least you get to see my take on the obligatory depth-of-field shot of red peppers (nowadays it’s hip to take M&Ms or colored candy).
I really like the color negative (and color slide/positive) film because the colors are so smooth. And it has a unique look as compared to digital.
