Why Net Neutrality is Vital To Productive Society

SMDH. I really hope the FCC doesn’t regulate the Internet and let the greedy Internet companies get more power. For those who don’t know what “net neutrality” is, it means that anyone with an Internet connection should be able to access any and all information on the Internet without limitations such as censoring content, transfer speeds, special treatment between content providers, etc. In the case of pursuit of knowledge and free speech, I think it’s incredibly important to have net neutrality.
The reason this has been controversial lately is because there is a political ulterior motive involved. It’s not that people are getting free Internet and 11-year-olds are making pipe bombs and blowing up their schools. People already are paying their Internet Service Providers (ISP) for access to the Internet already. So all this bullshit about how companies now want to control the actual bandwidth of transfer for customers willing to pay more for special treatment, or to give content providers preferential treatment to stream faster content, just sounds like money grabbing bullshit. The payment system already exists for us where we can buy into the Internet via different bandwidth speeds. So I don’t know what these greedy Internet companies want other than more money.
So the only thing left is the ulterior motive of controlling “information”. And that’s political. Once that information is controlled, then we’ve now become a country that is living under lock and key. And that’s going to be incredibly frightening. If this is a CIA or NSA operation to lock down the Internet, then they should know better. If they truly had any intelligence, they wouldn’t be putting any of their government secrets and important stuff onto the Internet anyway.
And I think that’s the problem with the way human intelligence thinks. They still need the Internet for their operations, but they also shoot themselves in the foot by regulating it. At some point, freedom really is about being free. There are no such things as freedom isn’t free. If it’s not free, then what is it?
So The National Archives grants the CIA permission to delete their emails. Apparently, the CIA is only deleting the emails of employees who aren’t that important or have left the job for more than 3 years. They’ll only keep the emails from the senior officers, the ones who make the big decisions. That’s not real intelligent, me thinks. It may be a cover-up, or it could just be that even the CIA run out of server space. That can be perceived in two ways: CIA may not be a bad-ass as people think, because now the curtain is pulled back revealing there is a limitation to their resources, OR, they’re covering shit up, since emails are so fucking small. You could fit the entire Library of Congress on a single hard-drive, why couldn’t you fit hundreds of thousands of years worth of emails and communications into a single server? CIA’s full of shit?
If there’s one thing I hate, it’s when my privacy is invaded. But there’s something else I hate: hypocrisy.
According to this Wired article, a middle school drop-out has “outsmarted” the NSA’s surveillance of chats and emails. To mention that he dropped out of middle school at the age of 13 implies that he’s somekind of genius and not some spoiled rich kid who had a big advantage in life. I’m sure he’s lacking in social skills and other stuff. He actually started writing his program when he was 18, he is now 22. I hate this stereotype of young teenagers being smart at technology. It’s technology industry’s propaganda to get young kids to become their slaves. Much like how Doogie Howser tricked kids to become doctors who eventually went on to star in Broadway plays. Go figure.
But he’s basing his software on an existing IP masking software called TOR. Which has been proven to be breakable.
I’m not too savvy on that shit, but I’m not a complete luddite either.
As long as you can follow that transmission, you will be able to find out where it’s coming from. Who cares if you change the binary data. That shit still has to go through a line or airspace. And when it does, it can be intercepted.
I’m just trying to be practical about it.
1. Consider that your rights and privacy are completely compromised.
2. You can be stupid and TOR all your communications and encrypt all your emails and all that shit, but that’s just not practical.
3. Just go about your day and keep doing what you’re doing. Those losers at the NSA, CIA, FBI, police, etc., can continue to harass and abuse you, but like many bullies, if you ignore them, they’ll soon disappear.
But unless you can really make the shit hit the fan and expose which federal scum are harassing you, completely out or blow their covers and make them lose their jobs, then don’t bother engaging them. Karma has a way of bringing justice.
If anything, America will fall because of these federal agents’ stupidity. You can trust me on that.
I’m embarrassed by the comments on that article. People are still in denial. Or, they’re the ones doing it. Mind invasion. It’s real. It’s about absolute population control. Forget what those loser scientists claim that it’s for the greater good. Every movie that Hollywood makes now is literally stolen from someone’s dreams. Literally. That’s why you better start thinking like a hallucination to throw these losers off.
If you’re ever the victim of government spying and harassment, it’s ALMOST ALWAYS someone in your inner circle that has betrayed you. Count on that. I put my life on it. Sometimes your own family members.
Yes, the CIA makes people you think you can trust into back-stabbing cowards that will drop you at a moment’s notice.
The superficial apology doesn’t change human nature.
According to this article, FBI can match faces at 85% accuracy. Facebook, on the other hand, can do it at 97%. But let me paint a picture why that is. The fact that FBI can be that accurate is still quite impressive, but the reason Facebook’s is way better is because of their funding, the lifeblood of Facebook is CIA. FBI is like the police. They only enforce laws. CIA, however, don’t follow any laws and that’s why they seem to be more innovative, at the cost of invading billions of people’s privacy. CIA creates the weapons and tools, FBI uses them. CIA is Whistler, FBI is Blade. It’s a need-to-know basis.
The impressive thing will be which one’s algorithm can pick out a face from low-resolution images. Facebook has the advantage only because the samples are high-resolution. But FBI’s might have the edge and is more useful because it can detect faces from low-resolution. So, it’s a matter of what purpose it’s used for. One is actually smarter than the other. If FBI’s facial software can detect a face out of finite amount of pixels that don’t resemble a face, then I’d say FBI’s software is actually better.
It’s hard not to take things personally when you’ve realized your entire life has been under surveillance and scrutinized meticulously. It makes you question whether or not you’re an equal citizen, or a tool of the government, an expendable pawn. I have it in me to eventually submit a formal request to find out what the US Government has documentated about me. Or should I just ignore these losers and try to live my life?
And ironic of all, they charge you a fee to get that information about yourself. Who knows what kind of garbage they have written about you or is made up. Talk about sadistic.
Well, well, well, NOW they’re getting more specific about what the “Heartbleed bug” actually is. Turns out, it’s a vulnerability in OpenSSL. You gotta be pretty stupid to use OpenSSL to log into a secure site. Like anything that is opensource, any joe schmo can go in there and put their own code leaving a backdoor open for them later. I don’t care if there is a peer-reviewed system in place. If all those supposed peers are crooked and corrupt, the entire system is already compromised. Such is the case with certain forum software (I won’t name names, but they have very sketchy behavior).
Thank goodness I never used OpenSSL (and I would never enable it if it came with any software). So I’m not too worried.
Fuck you, NSA. You guys need to stop playing games.
(OpenSSL is something the NSA would have created. But they’re claiming they didn’t. Do your research. Most of the encryption algorithms the entire Internet uses is written by NSA. Remember, NSA isn’t some righteous cream of the crop elite superhero group, they’re people, and people are flawed, crooked, corrupt, selfish, etc. Bad shit can happen and it does.)
