How To Download m3u8 videos from Twitter

If you’re browsing websites like Twitter or Facebook, you may notice videos may not be accessible for download. Back in the day, it was quite easy because the actual video file is embedded right into the page. These days, with privacy concerns (and copyright issues), Internet videos are becoming harder to “save for offline viewing”. But with a little know-how, you could successfully save these videos for offline viewing. After all, the data has to be sent to your computer anyway.

So particularly for m3u8 file format, which is just a plain text file that includes a playlist of urls to source videos (and sometimes other playlists), what you’re looking for are ts video source urls. Of course, you have to track down the url of the m3u8 file first. In Google Chrome, there is the very helplful “inspect” tool in the Developer Tools menu. Or, if it hasn’t been obfuscated, you can right-click on the part of the webpage where the video will render and click on “Inspect” if that option is enabled. How To Maximize Your Fiverr Revenue (As a Seller)

1. Book as many Gigs as you can in advance. But make sure you have sufficient time to deliver quality work in a reasonable amount of time. So you have to set the delivery times on your Packages and any custom orders accordingly.

2. Level Up. You need to Level Up so you can charge more for each Gig. Fiverr takes a good 20% from whatever revenue you bring in, so you’ll need to have ability to charge more if you want certain amount of income. And the only way to charge more is to level up. That means delivering the best quality product you can, delivering on time, and being respectful and courteous like a professional.

3. Keep repeat customers coming back. Your returning customers may pay you more or tip you and you should always welcome their patronage. So treat them right.

4. Know when to pick your fights. For the most part, you should be able to tell which buyers are spam, trolls or scammers. Fiverr usually detects spam quickly and removes those users. But in the case some buyer makes it through undetected, you need to know when to keep interacting with that person (or bot) and when to let the negotiations fall through. You don’t want to put all that work in only to have the buyer not pay you in the end and the best way is to detect scammy behavior beforehand. As some true Fiverr professionals have suggested, you can let some potentially bad Gigs drop because better ones will come later (and hopefully pay more).

5. Respond to Buyer Requests. You get about 10 responses to Buyer Requests every day. So make sure you use them all. You have to know how to use all Fiverr resources to your advantage.

Why Net Neutrality is Vital To Productive Society

SMDH. I really hope the FCC doesn’t regulate the Internet and let the greedy Internet companies get more power. For those who don’t know what “net neutrality” is, it means that anyone with an Internet connection should be able to access any and all information on the Internet without limitations such as censoring content, transfer speeds, special treatment between content providers, etc. In the case of pursuit of knowledge and free speech, I think it’s incredibly important to have net neutrality.

The reason this has been controversial lately is because there is a political ulterior motive involved. It’s not that people are getting free Internet and 11-year-olds are making pipe bombs and blowing up their schools. People already are paying their Internet Service Providers (ISP) for access to the Internet already. So all this bullshit about how companies now want to control the actual bandwidth of transfer for customers willing to pay more for special treatment, or to give content providers preferential treatment to stream faster content, just sounds like money grabbing bullshit. The payment system already exists for us where we can buy into the Internet via different bandwidth speeds. So I don’t know what these greedy Internet companies want other than more money.

So the only thing left is the ulterior motive of controlling “information”. And that’s political. Once that information is controlled, then we’ve now become a country that is living under lock and key. And that’s going to be incredibly frightening. If this is a CIA or NSA operation to lock down the Internet, then they should know better. If they truly had any intelligence, they wouldn’t be putting any of their government secrets and important stuff onto the Internet anyway.

And I think that’s the problem with the way human intelligence thinks. They still need the Internet for their operations, but they also shoot themselves in the foot by regulating it. At some point, freedom really is about being free. There are no such things as freedom isn’t free. If it’s not free, then what is it?

Man o man, what a rip-off. FreedomPop, a company that supposedly offers FREE INTERNET AND PHONE service to unsuspecting customers sounds too good to be true, right? Duh. And it fooled me, so it’ll fool you. But now I’m doing my part to tell you to avoid these scam artists!

To be fair, they aren’t legally scammers. Morally and ethically, yeah, I’m going to back my words and say FreedomPop is a shady and scammy company. And that’s why it’s infuriating.

FreedomPop’s hardware works. It’s software works. It’s service works. But all of that comes only via scammy tactics to get you to buy certain packages and certain hardware and in only certain regions. So if you’re not well-versed in any of the technology, the legalese, the lingo, the marketing deception and fine print, they’re going to pocket your money.

And here’s my personal experience:

I just got $39.99 refunded back to me. But that’s not the whole refund. They actually swindled from me $46.98 in the beginning. That’s the total cost of their refurbished Sierra Freedom Spot Overdrive Pro + shipping and handling (and not to mention the $16 it took me to UPS an RMA request of that POS back to them). If you do the math, they didn’t reimburse me for shipping and handling, but they did reimburse me for the full price of the hotspot. Good for them. But that’s only because I made it clear I wanted a FULL REFUND and not to pocket a $10 reshelving/restocking fee. You’d probably get hooked with that one if you didn’t read their fine print. And thank goodness some other poor sap who got duped blogged about that because I wouldn’t have known.

Anyway, like the other complaints, the first clue that FreedomPop was shady was when you first sign up how long it took for you to receive your hotspot. And their marketing is extra deceptive. You’re made to think that if you get this hotspot device, you will automagically get access to you FREE data usage. And that’s not the case.

The Overdrive Pro is a 3G/4G device. And if you didn’t know anything about the differences between 3G, 4G, 4G WiMax, 4G LTE, which are all different protocols of wireless technology, then you’d mistakenly think 4G ecompasses all 4G-tagged technologies, which is not the case. This damn Overdrive Pro only supports 3G+4G! And where I live, we ONLY HAVE 4G LTE. So to my dumbfounded surprise, booting up that puck, I learn I don’t have 4G access and it’s trying to connect to 3G the entire time.

And of course, there is no 3G in my area. Thus, no FREE INTERNET OR PHONE SERVICE.

You can access the Internet but only their website so you can login. That’s how you know it works. You login and the first thing they bombard you with is that you need to buy their 3G/4G montly package to utilize your “free” data. Shady as fuck.

YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THEIR 3G/4G monthly package to use their service. Essentially, you have to pay to take advantage of their “free data” giveaway. Those non-tangible megabytes and gigabytes of data they make up is what hooks our greed into their service. It could be ANY made up number: kajillion bytes free data, infinity bytes free data. But unless you have the proper hardware and software, it’s moot, isn’t it? And they already got your money. And they’ll hold onto your money with their grubby hands until you beg and plead with them to return it. But only after you request an RMA return and refund for your obsolete device.

THINGS TO WATCH OUT FOR IN CASE YOU HAVE THE ITCH TO SIGN UP, BUT I RECOMMEND AVOIDING AT ALL COSTS:

-When you are first registering, their graphical interface is intentionally meant to be confusing, putting the words FREE next to and actually PAID package, and having the actual FREE package unchecked to begin with.
-Keep an eye on all the pre-checked checkboxes for fine-print nickel-and-dime services. After you ordered your service package and hardware, there is a pre-selected service to carry over your unused data. They’ll charge you for that monthly. And they can do that legally because they put that in their fine print, so you’re left looking like a dumbass while they pocket your money, which you legally owe them for being an ignorant dumbass. Got it?
-There was also a pre-selected “auto top off” feature. Essentially, if you were about to reach your 500MB free data cap, they’d automatically “refill” it for you, but now charging you for subscribing to a monthly service.
-There was also a “maintenance” fee that they charged unsuspecting user if they didn’t use at least 5MB of their free data. But by the time I signed up, too many complaints were filed, so the company discontinued that feature. Woo-hoo, thanks, FreedomPop for being so generous and transparent.

And you give them your credit card information this whole friggin’ time for a supposedly FREE service. Who knows what kind of shit that can start charging you with?

Moral of the story:

AVOID FREEDOMPOP. Nothing is FREE IN LIFE. They’re banking on poor people’s desperation and greed to reel you in. If you really really need phone or Internet service, PAY for it with a reputable company. That’s the only way.

Some sad news. If you can’t think for yourself, soon the machines will do the thinking for you. The fact that a child has to be reminded not to post cyberbullying comments shows they weren’t taught any proper behavior outside of the Internet, aka the real world. And maybe that’s the perfect tool to control the masses. People are so dumb and ignorant they’re willing to let machines do the thinking for them nowadays.

I wonder why it’s so hard for some people to learn not to hurt others if they don’t want to be hurt themselves. That’s something we all learn growing up… unless you were completely bulletproof and stepped on people your whole life, never understanding hate and suffering. But people who probably grow up advantageous in society probably don’t use a lot of technology.

Poor people, on the other hand, for fear they look ignorant or not caught up with the times, are the ones who consume the most technology. So I wager it’s them doing the most trash-talking. Just letting it out. Prime candidates for mind control because they surrender it willingly so as not to look dumb and uneducated.
